Research interests: Research interests are focused on the energy sectors. In particular, the research objectives address the energy security, resource efficiency and climate change issues, developing advanced energy conversion system for stationary/mobile application such as lithium batteries and fuel cells.
Skills short description: At the University of Rome “La Sapienza”, Dr. Fabio Zaza has awarded the Advanced Laurea Degree (five years) in “Industrial Chemistry” with the highest score, The Master (second level) Degree in “Analytical Chemistry and Quality Control” and the PhD Degree in “Materials Engineering”, awarding university, national and international prizes. From 2008, he has been lecturing in “Fundamentals of Chemistry”, “Analytical Chemistry” and “Combustion Chemistry” at “La Sapienza” University, “Tor Vergata” University and “Roma Tre” University. Previously, the professional activity was focused on heath sectors, including Research at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità and Consultancy at FAO-Food and Agriculture. Subsequently, the professional activity has been focused on energy sectors, including Research at ENEA with various International collaborations. The research in is focused on electrochemical energy conversion systems such as lithium batteries and fuel cells including synthesis and characterization of advanced nanostructured materials in order to improve performance, durability, reliability, robustness and costs. The performed research work led to awards, scientific publications and one patent.
