Skills short description: Fabrizio De Paolis received the Laurea degree in electronic engineering from “La Sapienza” University of Rome, Rome, Italy, in 2004. In 2005, he joined COM DEV International, Cambridge, ON, Canada, as an Advanced Member of Technical Staff. He was involved in the modeling and design of filters and multiplexers for space applications. He was also the technical lead of commercial satellite programs for major prime contractors (Boeing, SS/Loral, EADS Astrium). Since 2009, he has been with the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC), Noordwijk, The Netherlands, where he is responsible for industrial and R&D contracts related to RF payload equipment and technologies. His current activities encompass the areas of passive devices (filters, multiplexers, ferrites, switches), high-power amplifiers (TWTAs, SSPAs) and antennas for next generation satellite communication systems.
