Abstract

In this PhD work has been studied the display of the rooms that preserve private book collections in Rome in seventeenth and eighteenth centuries and their composition. Were examined collections of collectors belonging to different welfare states. In this work have been identified specific tastes, emulations and interference. The research was conducted using literature and archival sources (inventories partly published, partly consulted at The Getty Provenance Index Databases, partly traced in the archive).
